Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or 2Face, has publicly apologised to his wife, Natasha, their children, and fans following backlash over his recent remarks about male sexuality.
The singer came under fire after stating on Nedu’s podcast that men are not naturally wired to be with just one woman. His comment stirred heated reactions online, with many accusing him of promoting infidelity.
During the podcast, 2Baba said, “A man isn’t built to be sexually active with one woman… He can love her, but sexually, it’s impossible to be with just one.”
In response to the criticism, the iconic singer has now retracted his words and issued a heartfelt apology on social media. He acknowledged that his statement was inappropriate and hurtful.
“I know I fvcked up with what I said and I know I’m going to get cancelled cos of it,” he wrote. “I apologise to my fans and most importantly, my wife, the love of my life, Natasha and also my kids. I’m terribly sorry. That’s not who I am.”
While some fans have accepted the apology and praised him for owning up, others remain disappointed, insisting that such views should not be voiced publicly by someone of his influence.
