Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has shared why he demands N20 million to make an appearance at events, emphasizing that he never shows up alone.
In a post on his Instagram page, the actor shared a video of himself attending an event with his entourage. He explained that his presence carries cultural and spiritual significance.
“When I charge you 20 million naira to make an appearance at your event, I do not come alone,” Edochie wrote.
“I come with all my ancestors and ten thousand spirits from Nteje & Umudioka.”
The event captured in the video reportedly took place in Nsugbe, Anambra State. According to Edochie, he attended to honour a close friend, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Barr. Tochukwu Nweke, during his father’s funeral.
“On this day, Nsugbe was on fire.
I stepped out to support my good friend, Barr. Tochukwu Nweke (SAN) Omelora
As he laid his father to rest,” he wrote.
Signing off with his traditional titles, the actor added:
“ISI MMILI JI OFOR 1 of Igbo Land.
EZEDIKE 1 na Nteje Aborgu.”
