Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has voiced her frustration over not actively using the latest iPhone 16, humorously blaming a family member for contributing to her “street insecurity.”
Taking to her Instagram page shortly after celebrating her 40th birthday, Tonto playfully called out her uncle, @tevriss, accusing him of being “obsessed” with her. According to the actress, he often shares her photos on social media before she does, which she finds both amusing and irritating.
“I think this man is obsessed with me,” she wrote. “Uncle @tevriss, why are you posting my pictures before me? This iPhone 16 wey I no get dey cause plenty street insecurity oo.”
She went on to highlight that although she actually owns a brand new iPhone 16 — gifted to her — she avoids using it due to anxiety over accepting such presents.
“I have 1 brand new iPhone 16. The fear of using phone gifts is giving me anxiety… That will never be me,” she added.
Tonto also jokingly warned her uncle, saying, “We Dey use your phone as vacation phone no mean say you go post our pictures before us.. The thunder wey go fire you Dey do press up lmaoo. This is a family callout.”
Since the release of the iPhone 16, it has quickly become the must-have gadget among celebrities, further intensifying social pressure around the luxury device.
