On Sunday, June 8, Pastor Paul Adefarasin addressed a viral incident involving a roadside encounter with a content creator, firmly denying widespread online claims that he was armed.
Speaking during his church service, Pastor Adefarasin described the situation as a deliberate attempt by "clickbaiters just looking for more money." He clarified that he was “falsely accused of bearing a firearm” and emphasized that no threat had been made.
The controversy began after a video surfaced online showing Pastor Adefarasin approaching someone who was recording his vehicle in traffic. In the footage, he rolls down his window and appears to caution the individual. Observers speculated that he had a handgun in his hand during the exchange — a claim he has now categorically denied.
“There was no firearm. There was no threat. Just a moment twisted by those seeking attention,” he said, directly addressing the speculation.
According to reports, the content creator involved in the incident has since issued an apology. Pastor Adefarasin reportedly left the scene without further confrontation.
The clip sparked intense debate on social media, but the pastor maintains that the entire situation was exaggerated for views and engagement online.
