The newlywed wife of Nollywood actor Linc Edochie has found herself at the center of online criticism after commenting on a social media post shared by her brother-in-law, Yul Edochie. The comment, which seemed harmless to some, sparked a wave of backlash from fans of May Edochie, Yul’s estranged first wife.
In response to the insults and accusations hurled at her, Linc’s wife took to social media to defend herself and clarify her stance. She expressed confusion over the hostility directed at her and emphasized that she holds no animosity toward any member of the Edochie family.
“I will not hate my brother-in-love,” she stated firmly, referring to Yul Edochie. Her statement was a clear attempt to distance herself from the ongoing drama between Yul and May without picking sides.
She went on to question the motivations of those attacking her, particularly those supporting May. In a pointed remark, she said, “What money does May have?”—a comment that has sparked further reactions online, with some interpreting it as a subtle jab while others viewed it as a genuine question about the basis of the fan loyalty.
The drama surrounding the Edochie family has intensified in recent years, largely due to Yul Edochie’s controversial decision to take a second wife, actress Judy Austin, which led to a public fallout with May. Linc Edochie’s wife has now made it clear that while she refuses to engage in hate, she also won’t remain silent in the face of unfair attacks.
