Nigerian DJ and philanthropist Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has shared an uplifting message aimed at unmarried women over 30, encouraging them to embrace their current season of life with faith and self-worth.
In a heartfelt video posted on social media, Cuppy, 31, reflected on her personal journey and addressed the societal pressures that often accompany being single in one's 30s. She emphasized the importance of finding fulfillment beyond romantic relationships and reminded women of their inherent value.
“I was thinking about it, how I am probably not the only one in this situation,” she said. “I’m going to call it a season of solidarity where a lot of my wins and values are not necessarily from a partner.”
Drawing inspiration from her faith, Cuppy cited Isaiah 54:5, stating, “For your real husband is the one who created you, Lord of all the earth. If you feel like you’re missing something in your life, God fills gaps and will never desert you.”
She encouraged single women over 30 to trust in divine timing, assuring them that “what is for you will not pass you.”
This message comes after Cuppy's previous candid remarks about the challenges of being single in her 30s. In January 2024, she tweeted, “Being a single, childless woman in her 30s is terrible. All I ever do is exactly what I want all the time.”
Cuppy's recent message marks a shift towards a more positive and empowering perspective, resonating with many women who find themselves in similar circumstances.
