Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Sammie, has been accused of defrauding a fan named Emmanuel of ₦4.45 million under the pretense of helping him secure a spot on the popular reality show.

According to Emmanuel, Sammie whose real name is Samuel and hails from Kogi State allegedly lured him into a fake deal, promising to use his influence to get him into the BBNaija house. Emmanuel claims Sammie made repeated financial demands and even pressured him to take out a loan when he couldn’t meet the payments.

“I was scammed of ₦4.5 million by my brother from Kogi State, Samuel. He advised me to get a loan,” Emmanuel said, narrating how he had to sell his car to repay the debt.

“What hurt me the most is that I wasn’t just scammed by a random person, but by someone I trusted and considered a brother.”

Emmanuel further alleged that after the BBNaija audition ended and he wasn’t selected, Sammie cut off all communication.

This was despite promising a full refund if the plan failed. The ordeal has left Emmanuel emotionally and financially wrecked, sparking outrage among fans on social media who have begun to call for accountability. As of now, Sammie has not publicly responded to the allegations.

The incident raises serious concerns about the growing trend of reality show hopefuls falling victim to fraudulent schemes, especially those who put trust in former contestants or insiders who claim to have “connections.”

It remains to be seen whether Sammie will address the accusation or if legal action will follow.
