Popular Nigerian travel blogger, Tayo Aina, recently shared a touching story on his X page about an act of kindness he received from Afrobeats superstar, Davido, during a trip to Botswana.
Tayo had been in the country for a shoot, and after filming, he found himself stranded without a way to get back to his hotel.
The bus, which was meant to take the crew back, was already packed with Davido and his 30BG team. Initially, Tayo tried to order an Uber, thinking he would just find another ride. However, much to his surprise, Davido noticed him standing outside and called him to join the crew on the bus.
Davido instructed the driver to stop, opened the door, and insisted that his crew make room for Tayo, even though it would inconvenience them. In his post, Tayo recalled squeezing into a tight space between two of the crew members, which made the situation even more uncomfortable for everyone involved.
Tayo was deeply moved by the gesture, describing it as one of the most humble acts he had ever witnessed. He praised Davido for not only being considerate but also for showing humility despite his immense success.
Tayo highlighted how rare it is for someone at Davido’s level of fame to go out of their way to make someone else feel included, especially when it would inconvenience their own team.
This moment left a lasting impression on Tayo, reminding him that true humility comes from within and isn’t defined by one’s status. He concluded by applauding Davido for consistently carrying others along on his journey to success.
