Ori Rebirth is a gripping Yoruba-language spiritual thriller that dares to peel back the veil between fate and consciousness.

Directed by the trio of Adekola Tijani, Muyiwa Ademola, and Tope Adebayo Salami, the film officially hit cinemas on May 1st, 2025. It is proudly owned and produced by veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Muyiwa Ademola, marking another milestone in his distinguished career.

At the heart of the story is Bisade, whose untimely death is orchestrated by the sinister Yeye Fernandez and her three cult members, described as devil-reincarnated.

The story immediately takes a spiritual tone, hinting that Bisade’s end is not quite the end, but a trigger for something much deeper.

His fate is now in the hands of his "mobile God"  a metaphor for divine presence, destiny, or the inner voice guiding him through realms beyond the physical.

The film smartly interweaves the fate of Temidun, a woman chosen by the universe to save a man already marked for ritual sacrifice.

Her mission intersects with Bisade’s spiritual journey, creating an intricate narrative filled with suspense, mystical symbols, and philosophical undertones.

There’s a clear emphasis on the Yoruba belief system especially concepts of ori (destiny), reincarnation, and divine alignment  without compromising the accessibility of the story to a general audience.

What elevates Ori Rebirth beyond its plot is the stellar cast and their deeply emotional performances.

Sola Sobowale once again proves her unmatched ability to channel raw emotion and spiritual depth into her roles.

Her scenes leave an imprint long after the screen goes dark. Toyin Abraham is equally commanding; her portrayal brings balance between spiritual resolve and human vulnerability.

The chemistry between the leads and the supporting cast creates an authentic, immersive experience.

Muyiwa Ademola’s performance stands out, not just as an actor but in how his directorial influence shaped the film's rhythm and visual storytelling.

The atmosphere is intense yet controlled, the cinematography and lighting reflect the duality of spiritual and physical realities. Traditional chants, ritual sequences, and dream-like transitions are masterfully used to blur the line between the seen and unseen.

Ori Rebirth is not just a movie it is an experience. It challenges viewers to think deeply about the nature of coincidence, divine intervention, and the hidden battles fought in spiritual realms.

A film of this magnitude is a rare gem in Nollywood, and it deserves every bit of the attention and praise it’s receiving.
