Nollywood actor-turned-preacher, Woli Arole, has raised concerns about the growing obsession with wealth within modern churches.

In a recent Instagram post, Arole cautioned Christians about the rising influence of mammon — a biblical term for material wealth — warning that the focus on money is gradually overshadowing the true purpose of Christianity.

“I say this as God’s prophet: Mammon is already creaking into the church, the talk of money, the worship of money. Christ did not die so we could become rich; he died so we could have eternal life. Wake up, oh saints. Share this message!!” he wrote.

The comedian-turned-cleric urged believers to remain spiritually alert and not be swayed by the growing trend of materialism creeping into places of worship.
