Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy has unveiled “Tatata,” the first official single off his forthcoming eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness.
Blending Brazilian funk rhythms with Nigerian pidgin and elements of pop rap, the track features a guest verse from American rap star Travis Scott. The song also makes a subtle reference to Equatorial Guinea’s Baltasar Engonga and the controversy surrounding his leaked s3x tape.
Tatata follows Burna Boy’s recent releases, including the reggae-infused Sweet Love and the viral hit Bundle By Bundle, which has already racked up over 24 million streams on Spotify and 8.5 million views on its official video.
In addition, the African Giant recently collaborated with French-Congolese singer Joé Dwèt Filé on the remix of 4 Kampé, fusing Afrobeats with Haitian Kompa for a global crossover sound that continues to earn international acclaim.
