Nigerian singer Joeboy suffered a major betting loss on Tuesday night after staking N3 million on Real Madrid to defeat Arsenal in their Champions League quarterfinal clash.
Prior to the highly anticipated match at the Emirates Stadium, Joeboy shared a screenshot of his bet slip on X, showing he was banking on a Madrid win. A victory for the Spanish team would have earned him N10.3 million.
He captioned the post confidently: “Cashing out on Arsenal tears tonight!”
However, the gamble didn’t go his way, as Arsenal thrashed Real Madrid 3-0, knocking out any chance of a payout.
Reacting after the defeat, Adekunle Gold reposted Joeboy’s tweet and poked fun at him, saying: “Lmao. You don go blow stream money. Next time face your club.”
