Renowned Nigerian Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as Kwam1 or K1 De Ultimate, has voiced his displeasure over the actions of fellow Fuji veteran, Ayinla Kollington.
During a recent chat with Agbaletu TV, K1 opened up about a lingering rift between the two artists, revealing that his disappointment stems from Kollington's failure to console him following the death of his mother.
“I am so angry with Alhaji Kollington because he never showed up to offer his condolences when I lost my mum,” K1 stated in the interview.
He went on to recount how he had gone above and beyond for Kollington during his own time of mourning. “When his own mother passed away, I supported him to give his mum a befitting burial. I brought a lot of dignitaries to the burial for him, and I handled all the finances 100%,” he revealed.
Despite K1’s support during Kollington’s bereavement, he expressed hurt over what he described as an ungrateful response. “See how he paid me back. What could have happened after everything I did for him?”
Kwam1 further noted that Kollington was in good health and present in the country during the time of his mother’s passing, yet made no physical effort to reach out. “He is in Nigeria, hale and hearty, and the only excuse he gave was that he called me, and I didn’t pick up. Am I not supposed to be angry?”
The revelation has sparked conversations among fans and followers of the Fuji music scene, as the two legends have long shared a professional relationship spanning decades.
