Ihuoma Julia Nneji, the 34-year-old daughter of ABC Transport founder Frank Nneji, has spoken out against being declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force without prior notice or any formal communication regarding the allegations against her.

Her name and photograph were recently published in a Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) in Abuja, listing her as wanted on charges of criminal defamation, injurious falsehood, and cyberstalking. However, Nneji insists that these accusations are unfounded and are the result of a personal vendetta from her ex-fiancé, Henry Uzochukwu.

In a statement released over the weekend, Nneji expressed her shock at being listed as wanted without any official summons or inquiry. “I was never invited, questioned, or notified about any complaint,” she said. “To wake up and see my name on a wanted list was both shocking and unfair.”

Nneji explained that the issues began after she met Uzochukwu in April 2024, and their relationship quickly escalated toward marriage. However, she called off their planned wedding in August 2024 after discovering what she described as “disturbing revelations” about Uzochukwu’s personal life.

“I decided to cancel our wedding after finding evidence suggesting that Henry was gay,” Nneji shared. “Upon further investigation, I learned that not only was he involved with men, but he had also been previously engaged multiple times without ever revealing the reasons for those engagements falling apart.”

According to Nneji, one of Uzochukwu’s former fiancées had also called off their wedding just a week before the ceremony due to the same issues she uncovered.

Following the cancellation, Nneji claims she became the target of harassment and false accusations from Uzochukwu. “Since ending the relationship, Henry has been harassing me, making threats, and falsely accusing me of running an Instagram account spreading rumors about him,” she said, adding that these accusations are completely untrue.

Nneji emphasized that she has never engaged in any form of defamation, cyberbullying, or blackmail, either through her verified social media accounts or any other means. “I have always acted with integrity,” she stated. “The real victim here is me, as I am being punished for choosing not to marry someone who was deceitful.”

She called on the Nigeria Police Force to adhere to proper legal processes and ensure that a fair investigation is carried out. “I urge the authorities to look into this matter carefully and give me a chance to present my side before any conclusions are made,” Nneji appealed.
