2Baba and his new partner, Natasha Osawaru, were seen together on Wednesday at the Edo state governorship election tribunal in Abuja.
The tribunal is expected to rule on a petition challenging the declaration of Monday Okpebholo, the APC candidate, as the winner of the September 21, 2024, Edo state governorship election.
The petition, filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Asuerinme Ighodalo, disputes the election result.
Natasha, who is also affiliated with the PDP, serves as the deputy majority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and represents the Egor constituency.
A video capturing their entrance to the tribunal sitting has gone viral, showing the pair being warmly greeted by other lawmakers in attendance.
This appearance comes after 2Baba announced his separation from Annie Idibia in January and later confirmed his relationship with Natasha. In February, the singer proposed to Natasha, emphasising that their relationship was not connected to his split from Annie.
Recently, Natasha updated her Instagram bio to reflect 2Baba’s surname, listing herself as “Honourable Natasha Idibia.”
This update follows Annie’s decision to drop the singer’s surname and revert to her maiden name, “Annie Uwana Macaulay.”
