Renowned rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent recently gave a candid revelation about the challenges he faces with his 25-year-old son, Marquise Jackson.
He said despite providing substantial financial support amounting to $81,000 annually, 50 Cent expresses his frustration over Marquise's refusal to work and sense of entitlement.
The rapper shares his concerns about their strained relationship and hopes that by speaking out publicly, he can inspire his son to take responsibility and become self-sufficient.
Read below the rapper's write up:
"My son, Marquise Jackson can't be 25 years old and still asking for child support. I still give him $6800 every month but he says it's not enough." 50 Cent "Success cost me my relationship with my first son, Marquise.
But he's cräzy, at 25, isn't he ashamęd to be asking for child support. I give him only about $81k per year because he doesn't wanna work. My son, Marquise feels like because he's 50 Cent's son, he doesn't have to work.
He feels like I should pay him a salary for being 50 Cent's son but it doesn't work like that. I wanted to set up a business for him which will be giving him atleast $1-million per month but he refusęd. He has that entitlement mentality of my Dad's money is but that's not how it should be.
If he ever gets ready to work, then he can come to me and I'll set up a business for him. People like us started from scratch and it hûrts me seeing how irresponsîble my son is becoming. I keep saying this in publîc all the time so that he should get ashamęd and start working. No matter how rich you are, never let your kids feel your money belongs to them." _____ 50 Cent
