Nigerian gospel sensation Mercy Chinwo has ignited social media with a shocking revelation, accusing her former manager and record label boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachi, popularly known as EeZee Tee, of threats to her life and professional sabotage.
In a heartfelt and explosive video shared on her Instagram page Tuesday afternoon, Mercy Chinwo alleged that EeZee Tee, the owner of EeZee Conceptz, made Lagos “toxic” for her, forcing her to relocate to Port Harcourt for her safety.
The dramatic fallout comes just weeks after Chinwo dragged EeZee Tee to court over the alleged diversion of $345,000 in royalties. The Lagos Federal High Court has since issued a warrant for EeZee Tee's arrest, directing the EFCC to ensure his appearance in court.
Breaking her silence for the first time, the award-winning gospel artist described EeZee Tee as a “bully” and an “oppressor,” claiming he replaced their original contracts in 2017 and 2019 without her consent.
“I never believed I would have to sit here to share my story,” Chinwo said, her voice trembling with emotion. “This man said he made me and would destroy me. I endured threats and bullying, and it got so bad that I had to leave Lagos. He’s now twisting the narrative, claiming I sued him, but it’s the other way around. Enough is enough.”
In response, EeZee Tee has denied the allegations, accusing Chinwo of spreading lies despite her gospel persona.
Fans and followers have flooded social media with mixed reactions, some standing in solidarity with Chinwo while others demand evidence to back her claims.
The gospel industry is no stranger to controversies, but this unfolding drama has captivated audiences nationwide, raising serious questions about artist-manager relationships in Nigeria.
What’s next for Mercy Chinwo and EeZee Tee? Stay tuned for updates as the legal and emotional battle rages on.
