Music mogul and entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs was denied bail for the third time on Wednesday by a New York City judge as he awaits trial on serious federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution.
The ruling was issued by US District Judge Arun Subramanian, who cited concerns over potential witness tampering and misconduct. The judge determined that no conditions of release would sufficiently ensure public safety or prevent interference with the judicial process.
The embattled hip-hop icon has pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges, maintaining his innocence amid mounting legal challenges. Beyond the criminal case, Combs also faces over two dozen accusations of sexual assault brought forward in separate civil lawsuits. He has denied the allegations in those cases as well.
The case has drawn widespread attention, with many fans and industry figures expressing shock over the severity of the charges and the ongoing legal proceedings.
With bail denied, Combs will remain in custody as his legal team prepares for trial. The high-profile case is expected to shed light on the allegations and could have lasting implications for one of the music industry’s most influential figures.
