Renowned Nigerian gospel actor and producer Moses Korede Are, famously known as Baba Gbenro from the hit Mount Zion series Abattoir, has passed away.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by actor Oluwaseun Adejumobi, who shared a tribute on his Instagram page on Thursday, writing:
“Heaven’s gain again. General has gone to rest.”
Baba Gbenro was not only celebrated for his impactful performances in Abattoir, but also as the founder and international president of the Calvary Movies Drama Ministry and CEO of Calvary Movies Television.
The prolific actor and producer dedicated his life to spreading the gospel through Christian drama and was beloved for his exceptional ability to bring faith-based stories to life.
His passing has sent ripples through the gospel film community, with fans and colleagues mourning the loss of a talented figure who touched countless lives with his ministry.
May his soul rest in peace.
