In a dramatic turn of events, popular Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky, has been arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme border while allegedly attempting to flee the country.
The arrest, which took place on October 21, 2024, has sent shockwaves across social media as she faces investigation over bribery claims tied to a controversial audio recording.

The NIS, in an official statement, confirmed that Bobrisky—real name Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju—was intercepted while attempting to exit Nigeria, heading toward the Benin Republic. According to the NIS, she is currently being interrogated and will be handed over to relevant authorities for further questioning.
This arrest comes amid a whirlwind of accusations involving Bobrisky and bribery allegations. The investigation, fueled by a viral audio clip shared by social media activist VeryDarkMan, reportedly has Bobrisky admitting to paying N15 million to officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to squash money laundering charges.
Denying the accusations, Bobrisky has maintained her innocence, threatening legal action against her accuser and branding the audio as falsified. Despite her denials, the House of Representatives, along with the EFCC and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), have launched a full-scale investigation into the claims, making her one of the most scrutinized figures in the country today.
