A man has been apprehended while attempting to acquire an AK-47 rifle for the sum of 1.3 million Naira.
According to Police authorities who disclosed this that the individual was caught in the act during an undercover operation aimed at curbing illegal arms trafficking and cultism.
The culprit confessed in a video that is making rounds in the social media, that he wanted to acquire this arms to enable him become a head of a cult group and internet fraudsters.
This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding the proliferation of firearms in the region.
Further investigations are underway to determine any potential connections to larger criminal networks.
