Tito Jackson, legendary musician and founding member of The Jackson 5, has passed away at 70 following a heart attack. The tragic news was confirmed by his nephew, Siggy Jackson, on September 15, 2024.
Despite his age, Tito was actively performing alongside his brothers Jackie and Marlon as part of The Jacksons. The trio had recently completed a summer tour across the UK, including a show in Surrey just days before his untimely passing.
Tito’s musical legacy is firmly rooted in the success of The Jackson 5 where hits like “I Want You Back” and “ABC” solidified the group’s place in music history. Following his time in the iconic band, Tito ventured into blues and funk, releasing solo work that carried messages of unity and hope, including his 2021 single "Love One Another."
Tito is survived by his three sons, Taj, TJ, and Taryll, who formed the group 3T. His contributions to the music world and his dedication to family will be remembered fondly by fans around the globe.
