Nigerian singer Spyro has taken to Instagram to candidly discuss his decision to embrace celibacy, revealing the internal conflict he faced regarding premarital sex. The 33-year-old artist shared that although he found pleasure in sexual encounters, they often left him feeling guilty and troubled.
In his heartfelt post, Spyro explained how his conscience began to weigh heavily on him after each encounter, leading him to realize that the temporary pleasure was not worth the inner turmoil it caused. He admitted to struggling for a while but ultimately turned to prayer for strength.
"Sex felt good till I could no longer bear struggling with my conscience," Spyro confessed. "Every time I 'FORNICATED,' knowing I ain’t married to the person, I felt troubled, like a part of me gets taken right after."
Spyro went on to describe how he made the difficult decision to disengage from all connections that tempted him down the path of premarital sex. He acknowledged that it hasn't been an easy journey, especially when facing temptation while traveling or dealing with promoters who don't make it easy.
Despite these challenges, Spyro remains committed to his decision, stating, "I am keeping this bed for ONE now." His post has resonated with many of his followers, sparking conversations about personal values, faith, and the struggles of maintaining celibacy in the entertainment industry.
