Nigerian music producer Samklef has criticized superstar singer Davido for making derogatory comments about his logistics manager Israel DMW’s estranged wife, Sheila Courage. The couple, who got married in October 2022, recently parted ways amid allegations of domestic violence and infidelity.
Nollywood Times recalls that in a now-viral video, Davido was heard mocking Sheila while boarding his private jet with Israel, claiming she would be regretting the breakup. Reacting on social media, Samklef condemned the singer for his lack of empathy and called out his behavior as disrespectful.
“Dear Davido, you have shown a lack of morals by calling Israel’s ex-wife a ‘bitch.’ How would you feel if someone called your wife, Chioma, the same?" Samklef wrote on his X handle.
The producer continued, comparing Davido’s actions to other artists like Wizkid and Burna Boy, whom he claimed would never stoop to such remarks. He urged Davido to seek mentorship, criticizing his reliance on material possessions like private jets for validation.
The incident has sparked a heated debate online, with fans divided on the issue, as many echo Samklef's sentiments, calling for more maturity and empathy from the music icon.
