Gareth Bale has shared his thoughts on the ongoing debate regarding who holds the title of the greatest player of all time (GOAT) between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Real Madrid winger played alongside Ronaldo during his time at the LaLiga club, having transferred from Tottenham for a then-record fee of approximately £85 million in 2013. During their partnership, Bale and Ronaldo celebrated three league titles in Spain before Bale's departure in 2022.
In a recent YouTube video with Futcrunch, Gareth Bale participated in a blind ranking challenge where he was asked to list his top five forwards. This prompted him to make a choice between two football legends, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bale placed Ronaldo at the top of his list, giving him the No. 1 position, while Messi secured the second spot.
Last year, Bale made headlines when he announced his unexpected retirement from football following his appearance with the Welsh national team at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
