Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, clarified to TMZ that the directive was standard protocol for "new, high-profile inmates" and not a result of any suicidal tendencies.
Agnifilo added, “[Diddy’s] not at all suicidal. He was healthy, strong, confident, and focused on his defense,” after spending six hours with him at the federal facility on Thursday.

Diddy was arrested on Monday, and on Tuesday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky ordered him to remain in jail while awaiting trial. As of now, it is unclear how long the rapper will stay under suicide watch.
The case continues to attract significant attention, with many awaiting further developments in his legal battle.
