Popular Nigerian actor Adeniyi Johnson has broken his silence following his suspension by the African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) over allegations of gross misconduct and breach of the club’s constitution. The suspension, led by fellow actor and AFRIMEK president Femi Adebayo, was announced over the weekend, sparking widespread reactions.

In a heartfelt post on social media, Adeniyi expressed his disappointment with the club’s decision and its potential impact on his reputation. "It saddens my heart that my honourable club made such a derogatory post about me. Please note that I’m not bigger than the club, but before the club there has been Adeniyi Johnson. If care is not taken, that post will do more harm than good," he wrote.

The actor emphasized that while he respects the club, his name and brand were established long before he joined AFRIMEK. He reassured his fans and supporters, urging them to remain calm as he addresses the situation. "I feel this is detrimental to my name, family, standard, and even more importantly, my brand. I hereby implore my family, friends, and fans to stay calm and continue to show unwavering love and support," Adeniyi added.

AFRIMEK, known for its influential members in Nigeria's entertainment industry, includes notable figures such as Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Chatta, and Jamiu Azeez Olamilekan.
