Popular singer and half of the defunct P-Square duo, Paul Nonso Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has responded angrily to comments made by All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Joe Igbokwe regarding the group's recent split.

Rudeboy recently confirmed that P-Square has broken up again, barely three years after reuniting in 2021 following their initial split in 2016.

Reacting to their latest split, Joe Igbokwe took to Facebook to criticize the brothers for their inability to manage their issues, despite being twins. He also berated their personal lives, expressing disappointment in their inability to work together.

In his post, Igbokwe wrote:
“So shameful that two twin brothers Paul and Peter cannot work together, cannot love one another, they cannot trust each other, they cannot think together, they cannot reason together, they cannot forgive each other, they cannot manage their wives, they cannot manage their success story, they cannot control their emotions, they cannot manage their internal contradictions, even their wives could not help matters, what about their parents, their brothers and sisters, their Nnaochie? etc. This is a shame.

“It pains me to no end. Now, are there no elders in the family? This is success without brains. Education without character. Make shame catch us small na. When Gold rusts what will Iron do? Ndi ara akwu eke. Awon werey.”

Paul Okoye, unimpressed by Igbokwe's comments, took to Instagram to retaliate. He urged the APC chieftain to focus on the pressing issues facing the country, especially the hardships caused by his party.

Paul wrote:
“Joe Igbokwe, your papa! Elder wey mumu! Focus on the country wey you put mouth scatter! People are hungry!”

The exchange highlights the tension between the personal lives of celebrities and public figures' opinions, especially during sensitive times like a group breakup.
