Popular American rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Paris on Friday following an altercation with a security guard at the luxury Georges V hotel. The Grammy-nominated hip-hop star was taken into custody after police were called to the scene by hotel staff.
According to a statement from the Paris prosecutor's office, Scott was involved in a dispute with his bodyguard, which escalated into a confrontation with the security agent. "Policemen were called to the Georges V hotel and arrested Travis Scott for violence against a security agent. The latter had intervened to separate the singer from his bodyguard," the statement read.
The arrest came shortly after Scott was spotted at the Olympics’ men’s basketball semi-finals on Thursday. This incident marks Scott's second brush with the law in recent months, as he was previously arrested in June in Miami Beach for trespassing and disorderly intoxication.
The rapper's legal troubles continue to draw attention as fans and media await further developments.
