Jude Okoye, the long-time manager of the now-defunct P-Square group, has finally spoken out about the recent controversies surrounding his brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye.
The latest crisis between the twins became public when Paul, known as Rudeboy, revealed in an interview that the group had split up again. He accused his twin brother, Peter, also known as Mr. P, of dragging him and their elder brother, Jude, to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged fraudulent activities.
In response, Peter wrote an open letter accusing Paul and Jude of tarnishing his image and conspiring to defraud him. The public dispute has reignited tensions among fans and followers of the popular music duo, prompting Jude to address the situation directly.
During an Instagram live session on Saturday, Jude Okoye dismissed Peter's fraud allegations, claiming that Peter had "twisted" the narrative to make it appear fraudulent. Jude expressed frustration over being repeatedly drawn into the disputes between his younger brothers, arguing that Peter involved him because people often expect the eldest sibling to resolve family issues.
"These people [Peter and Paul] have children that are teenagers. If they were in America, they would be grandfathers now," Jude said. "Why is it that Peter always involves me in their fight? It’s because he had that impression that people always called Jude, the elder one, [to say] ‘go and settle your brothers, go and put your family in order.’"
Jude further asserted that his family is "in order" and suggested that Peter and Paul should focus on resolving their business conflicts themselves. "I have tried to the point I sacrificed myself," he added, emphasizing his efforts to mediate in the past.
