Famous rapper Folarin Falana, AKA Falz the Bhad Guy, has shed light on his relationship with singer Simi, addressing long-standing dating rumors. The speculation began after the duo released a joint EP titled Chemistry in 2016, which fueled fans' curiosity about a possible romantic connection.
In a recent interview with Hip TV, Falz clarified that their relationship was purely musical. He recounted how he first connected with Simi after hearing her breakout song "Jamb Question" and how their musical synergy led to multiple collaborations.
“I met Simi in 2013 or 2014. I reached out to her the first time I heard ‘Jamb Question’ to let her know I’ve written a verse for the remix that we’ve not yet discussed,” Falz recalled.
“And we went on to do it, shot the video, and from then onwards, every other track was so natural. She’s family, we really clicked musically, and we just had to explore that. It was beautiful.”
Their professional relationship saw them produce numerous hits together, showcasing their undeniable chemistry in the studio. Falz was also recently featured in "Borrow Me Your Baby" off Simi’s latest album, Lost And Found.
The rumors of a romantic relationship between Falz and Simi were finally put to rest when Simi married her secret lover, singer Adekunle Gold, on January 9, 2019. The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
Falz’s candid revelations about his relationship with Simi highlight the deep musical bond they share, emphasizing that their connection, though powerful, was always platonic.
