Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has dismissed comparisons between her and fellow artist Tiwa Savage.

The 'Johnny' crooner responded to a fan's comment on X (formerly Twitter), where the fan suggested that Yemi Alade was better than Tiwa Savage.

In her response, Alade emphasized the need for fans to support and celebrate both artists, highlighting that they are both "winning." 

She described comparison as “the thief of joy.”

The fan wrote, “U better than Tiwa [Savage].”

Yemi Alade replied: “Comparison is the thief of joy. We’re both winning…. celebrate and support us all.”

The singer's message promotes unity and camaraderie among fans of Nigerian music, discouraging unnecessary rivalry between artists.
