Popular Nigerian skit maker and streamer, Carter Efe, has finally broken his silence on the long-standing controversy surrounding his relationship with his baby mama, Emmanuella, revealing that he has been single for over one year.

The content creator made the disclosure in a series of emotional posts shared via his social media pages, where he opened up about the toll the relationship allegedly took on his mental health, finances, and creative career. 

According to Carter Efe, the period marked one of the most difficult phases of his life, as he struggled to stay focused, create content, and maintain financial stability.

Carter Efe claimed that the relationship affected his mindset badly, noting that he lost motivation and clarity for nearly two years. 

He alleged that during that time, he became financially unstable and was unable to function at his best creatively, adding that the emotional strain made it difficult for him to shoot skits or think clearly.

The streamer further alleged that he went for several months without seeing his daughter, an experience he described as heartbreaking. He stated that being separated from his child deeply affected him emotionally but insisted that he refused to let the situation derail his grind and ambition.

According to Carter Efe, making the decision to distance himself from the relationship became a major turning point in his life. He explained that after walking away, he gradually began to regain his happiness, confidence, and creative drive. 

He noted that fans had recently observed how active and cheerful he has been online, stressing that the positive change is a direct result of removing himself from what he described as a toxic situation.

The entertainer also linked his recent success in streaming and increased visibility online to the decision, stating that he is now in a much better place emotionally and professionally. 

Carter Efe expressed gratitude to God for what he described as massive changes in his life over the past year, adding that his growth has been undeniable.

In his words, he wrote that he has been single for over a year and that stepping away from the relationship allowed him to rediscover himself. He claimed that after leaving, his life took a positive turn, culminating in his rise as one of Africa’s biggest streamers.

Carter Efe’s comments have since sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users sympathising with him, while others criticised his choice of words and tone towards his baby mama.
