Police invite Phyna over failure to return rented wig

Josephine Otabor, former Big Brother Naija winner popularly known as Phyna, has been summoned by the Nigeria Police in connection with an alleged failure to return a rented wig within the stipulated rental period.

Earlier, a hair vendor had accused Phyna of not returning a "rented" wig after the agreed-upon time frame had expired. Initially denying the allegations, Phyna later admitted in a video on her social media page that she had indeed rented the wig and attempted to return it after being called out.

However, she claimed that the hair vendor rejected the returned wig, citing damage that exceeded the wig's value.

Phyna revealed that the hair vendor, accompanied by police officers, visited her residence when she was not present and left a letter regarding the matter. As a result, the Nigeria Police have invited Phyna to address the issue.

Phyna said, “Yesterday, my younger sister called me and said I’ve visitors in my house. I asked who they were and she said two policemen, the hairstylist and one woman. I asked who the woman was but she said she doesn’t know the woman.

“And they dropped a letter. Because it’s from the police I want to know what to do. It reads, ‘This is the Nigeria Police. Invitation to the police.’ They now put my name, my address. Then it continued, ‘From the DPO Nigeria Police Ogudu.’ I don’t know where Ogudu is, but I will find out.”
