Alleged sexual assault: 18 companies cut ties with rapper, Diddy

Amidst a series of sexual assault allegations against American singer Sean Combs, widely known as Diddy, eighteen companies have severed ties with his business venture, Empower Global.

The notable move by these companies was confirmed to Rolling Stone Magazine on Sunday.

Annette Njau, the founder of luxury-bag, eyewear, and apparel company House of Takura, expressed a serious stance on the allegations, stating, "We take the allegations against Mr. Combs seriously and find such behavior abhorrent and intolerable. We believe and support victims' rights, even against the most powerful of people."

Reportedly, a total of 18 brands, including skincare brand Tsuri, footwear line Rebecca Allen, jewelry label Fulaba, sunscreen brand Baby Donna, and others, have chosen to sever their connections with Diddy's Empower Global, which was established in 2021.

This development follows the filing of a fourth lawsuit against Diddy by an individual identified as Jane Doe. She alleges that she was sex trafficked and gang-raped in 2003 by Diddy, Harve Pierre (former Bad Boy Records president), and another individual when she was 17. These events have prompted a growing wave of disassociation from the embattled singer.

Notably, in November, Diddy took the step of stepping down as the chairman of Revolt TV, a media company he co-founded.
