Taylor Swift's 'Eras' tour has achieved a groundbreaking feat by securing the title of the highest-grossing music tour in history, as confirmed by Guinness World Records on their website this Tuesday.

This remarkable accomplishment also marks the 'Eras' tour as the first-ever music tour to surpass the monumental milestone of $1 billion in revenue.

Commencing in March 2023 and slated to conclude in December 2024 after a total of 151 shows worldwide, the tour has garnered an impressive $1.04 billion (£840 million) in earnings to date, according to Pollstar.

Surpassing the previous record set by British icon Elton John's five-year farewell tour, which concluded earlier this year, Taylor Swift's achievement is particularly noteworthy. Elton John's tour amassed $939 million (£749 million) over the course of 328 shows.

This triumph follows closely on the heels of Taylor Swift's recent Guinness World Record as the first musician to attain billionaire status solely through music earnings. With these accolades, Swift solidifies her place not only as a musical powerhouse but also as a trailblazer in the industry's financial landscape.
