In the realm of social media, renowned artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, claims the top spot as the most followed Nigerian personality.

As revealed in a recent report by entertainment statistics firm, Top Charts Africa, Davido boasts an impressive 56.1 million followers collectively across various social media platforms. This data, released on Tuesday, places the 'OBO' maestro firmly at the helm of the rankings.

The second and third positions are occupied by Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, with 38.6 million followers, and Wizkid, closely trailing with 38.4 million followers.

Meanwhile, in the realm of Afropop, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage find themselves in a tie, each amassing 34.3 million followers and securing the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

Beyond the musical sphere, the list extends to include actress Mercy Johnson, who commands 33.5 million followers, music mogul Don Jazzy with 30.1 million followers, and singer Simi with 29.9 million followers. Skit maker Mark Angel and actress Regina Daniels round out the top ten with 29.7 million and 28.7 million followers, respectively.

The rankings were determined by aggregating followers across four major social media platforms: Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok.
