96th Oscars: Jimmy Kimmel to host show for fourth time

Renowned American television host and producer, James Christian Kimmel, is set to return for the fourth time as the host of the Oscars Awards.

The announcement was made by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences in a statement on Wednesday.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Kimmel stated, "I always dreamed of hosting the Oscars exactly four times."

The 96th Oscars ceremony is scheduled to be broadcast on Walt Disney (DIS.N)-owned ABC and various global outlets on March 10, 2024.

Kimmel previously hosted the 95th Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in March, delivering a show that celebrated the rebound of moviegoing post the COVID-19 pandemic.

His hosting stints in 2017 and 2018 also garnered attention, with his 2018 hosting earning him an Emmy nomination.
