Currently, VAR officials are under fire by Liverpool fans and other football fans in the EPL which is why #ApologyNotAccepted and #FA_PGMOLCorrupt are trending on the Microblogging app, X.  The reason is as a result of the Tottenham - Liverpool match.

In the wake of their costly error during the match, the VAR referee duo of Darren England and Dan Cook will be absent from officiating the matches they were originally scheduled for in the current round of the Premier League. Their blunder led to the disallowance of a goal scored by Luis Diaz in the 34th minute, ultimately resulting in Liverpool's narrow 1-2 defeat.

On the same day, the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL), responsible for refereeing in the Premier League, promptly acknowledged the mistake and issued the following statement:

"Darren England and Dan Cook have been replaced in the matches Nottingham Forest - Brentford and Fulham - Chelsea. Craig Pawson will now take on the role of the fourth official at the City Ground, and Eddie Smart will replace Cook as the VAR assistant referee at Craven Cottage."

Previously, there were accounts of Liverpool fans venting their frustration and ire toward the referee after the match against Tottenham.
