Mohbad: ‘Naira Marley too young to be thrown under the bus of cancel culture’ – Teebillz

Renowned music executive and Tiwa Savage's estranged husband, Tunji Balogun, known as Teebillz, has appealed to Nigerians not to engage in the cancellation of rapper Naira Marley.

It's worth recalling that Naira Marley has come under intense scrutiny following allegations linking him to the untimely demise of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, known as Mohbad.

Despite refuting these accusations, numerous Nigerian media outlets have removed songs by the Marlian Music CEO and his label artists from their playlists.

Taking to his Instagram page to react, Teebillz expressed that Naira Marley is "too young and talented to be subjected to the cancel culture."

He further noted that Naira Marley had demonstrated belief in and investment in Mohbad's music career when "none of the advocates of love after his passing" did so.

He wrote, “[Naira Marley is] Too young too talented to throw under the bus of cancel culture! One of the best writers of the new age! Guilty by association is not a deliberate crime to me……. I pray ppl forgives Naira Marley off his shortcomings and I hope God gives him a 2nd chance to attain his blessings as a bonified leader and influencer! Just yesterday when everyone and their mama was a glorified Marlian…… Naira believed and invested in Imole’s talent when none of the after death advocates of love did….!!! May our creator bless us where we lack knowledge and wisdom! (sic)”
