Veteran singer Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, known as Blackface, has made allegations of song theft against YBNL's Olamide and his protege, Asake. In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, the former Plantashun Boiz member accused Olamide, in particular, of appropriating many songs throughout his career, citing the song 'Don't Stop,' which he claims was taken from his own track, 'Killa.'
Blackface further contended that Wizkid and Burna Boy had also taken their collaborative hit 'Ginger' from him, insisting that it was inspired by his song 'Twist & Turn.' He emphasized that not only have other artists taken his lyrics but they've also replicated the sounds he created.
Blackface also mentioned that, when he wanted to use the beat from P-Square's 'Do Me' for his song 'Erima,' he obtained permission from the producer, Joe.
Despite these allegations, Blackface stated that he doesn't mind writing songs for Nigerian artists, especially Davido, if they approach him correctly. He additionally expressed his longstanding desire to collaborate with Tiwa Savage, though he has not received a response from her.
