Nigerian singer Portable Omolalomi has attributed the demise of Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, to an act of betrayal. According to Portable, he alleges that Mohbad met an unfortunate fate at the hands of individuals opposed to Naira Marley, the head of Marlian Records.
In his recent video, Portable stated that Marlian Music had nurtured and supported Mohbad, but the artist had chosen to distance himself from the label. He claims that Mohbad accused the label of not showing him enough love, leading to his departure and alignment with Naira Marley's competitors.
Portable further alleges that Mohbad's association with these rivals ultimately led to his untimely demise. According to him, the perpetrators of Mohbad's death had intentions to implicate Naira Marley in the matter.
“Mohbad was killed because he was a betrayer. We help these young artists and make them blow but they repay us with evil. After everything Marlian music did for Mohbad, he later said they didn’t love him. He left the label and went to associate with the enemies of Naira Marley.
“Those ones then killed him to implicate Naira. God will save Naira from this mess because he only helped Mohbad out of a good heart but he betrayed him.”
