Pete Edochie, a highly regarded actor in Nollywood, has voiced his apprehension about the rising number of divorces in the Nigerian film industry.
In a discussion with prominent media personality Chude Jideonwo, the veteran actor expressed his concern about the significant number of actresses in the country who have experienced divorce.
Edochie, a respected figure in the Nigerian film industry, shared his observations on the widespread occurrence of divorce among actresses. This trend has become a source of worry, as it appears to be impacting a substantial portion of female actors in the industry.
The Nollywood Legend said during the chat: “If you come to our industry today, most of our ladies who got married, some two, three years ago, have all left their husbands. I was shocked that Chioma Chukwuka had left her husband, Ireti Doyle, Tonto Dikeh.
“You take a vow when you are going to get married for better or worse, not for better or out. You will always think it’s greener on the other side; that is the mistake we all make.”
