The Nigerian Idol Season 8 has come to an end tonight and the winner has been declared. It was a Sunday night with trills and excitement and Gospel singer, Victory Gbakara emerged the winner of this year's edition of the singing reality show.
Victory won the competition after edging out Precious Mac, walking away with the N100 million grand prize, part of which is N35 million in cash and a brand new car.
The prize also includes a music record deal and a video shoot.
Victory has lived to the true meaning of his name. He also proved people wrong that you have to sing secular music to win a singing competition. He showed that talent is all that is needed not the genre you sing.
