She's here again, re-writing history, breaking and setting new records; she is no one but Nigeria’s queen of the track, Tobi Amusan. Today, Sunday, in far away Poland, Tobi won the 100-metre hurdles event at the Silesia Diamond League.
The race was keenly contested, but Amusan was able to finish with a win with a time of 12.34 seconds. With that win, she has equalled the meeting record in the process.
The duo of Harrison Kendra and Ali Nia of the United States of America were both edged to second and third place, respectively, by Tobi. This makes it Tobi’s second victory in the Diamond League this year.
Recall that two weeks ago, the Ogun State-born 26-year-old won in Stockholm. She is now set to defend her world title in Budapest, Hungary next month.
