Tinubu visits Obasanjo ahead of the elections with a crowd of APC loyalists

It was a crowded situation on Wednesday at the residence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Ogun State as scores of APC supporters flocked to the former president’s Abeokuta residence as the APC presidential flagbearer, Bola Tinubu, visited him.

Tinubu landed at the Penthouse of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, in his helicopter at about 1:09 pm, accompanied by some APC leaders.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, ex-Governor Gbenga Daniel, his predecessor, Segun Osoba, and other Ogun State government functionaries were on the grounds to receive him.

They are all in a meeting with the former president, which was believed to be connected to Bola Tinubu’s ambition in the coming elections.

Our sources said Bola Tinubu and Olusegun Obasanjo had not met since 2015 when he followed the then APC candidate, President Buhari, to Obasanjo’s residence.

Tinubu also graced the 78th birthday of the former president held at Abeokuta in March 2015.

Both Yoruba leaders have avoided each other since the ex-General withdrew his support for Buhari and the APC. Recall that Obasanjo helped the APC to power by publicly tearing his PDP membership card.
