Social media personality Saida Boj has reignited the controversy surrounding Blessing CEO after expressing dissatisfaction with the latter's recent public apology, arguing that she cannot genuinely seek forgiveness without addressing the cancer-related allegations that have continued to attract public criticism.
Saida, who appeared unimpressed by Blessing CEO's apology, maintained that the most important issue Nigerians expect her to clarify remains the controversial cancer claims and the financial contributions reportedly received from members of the public.
According to Saida, Blessing CEO's decision to issue an apology without directly addressing the matter raises questions about the sincerity of her remorse. She argued that acknowledging the controversy and providing explanations should have been her priority rather than making general statements of appreciation.
Speaking about the apology, Saida said, "Blessing CEO, address the cancer issue. That's the reason Nigerians are a&gry at you. Don't act like you don't know what you are doing. You're not sorry."
She further questioned the meaning behind Blessing CEO's expression of gratitude, demanding to know who exactly supported her and why the controversial issue was absent from her apology.
"If you are sorry, the first issue you will address is that cancer issue. Then we will know that you are really sorry. What is, ‘Thanks for the support.’ Who supported you?" she asked.
Saida did not stop there, as she went on to question the circumstances surrounding the alleged diagnosis and the donations reportedly made by Nigerians following the cancer claims.
She insisted that Blessing CEO owed the public an explanation regarding the money received, including what it was used for and why Nigerians were asked to believe that she was battling cancer.
"The money that was given to you, where is it? What was it used for? Why did you want to deceive Nigerians? Why did you say you have cancer? That's the thing," Saida stated.
The social media personality also suggested that Blessing CEO's apology was an attempt to shift public attention away from the controversy rather than confront the questions that have continued to generate heated reactions online.
Questioning the cancer claims further, Saida said, "Do you have cancer? Obviously no, because you look good. You don't look like you have cancer. So why did you say you had cancer before? What was your aim?"
She also cautioned Blessing CEO against using emotional appeals to gain public sympathy, stressing that an apology alone would not resolve the situation without a proper explanation.
"It's not for you to play pity card. ‘Oh, I'm so sorry.’ Address the cancer issue. That thing will not slide. That is the main reason Nigerians are a&gry at you," she added.
Saida's comments have brought renewed attention to Blessing CEO's controversial cancer claims, with the social media personality insisting that Nigerians deserve direct answers rather than a general apology.
