A married woman identified as Mary has accused Nollywood actress Irewole Olaniyan of maintaining a relationship with her husband for about three years.
Mary made the allegation on Instagram on October 3, 2026, where she gave an account of what she said had happened between the actress and her husband.
She claimed the issue was not something she confronted the actress about for the first time. According to Mary, she had previously reached out to Irewole privately in an attempt to address the situation between them.
Mary said the actress initially denied knowing that the man was married. She also claimed Irewole told her that the man was not her type and subsequently blocked him.
However, Mary alleged that the communication did not end there. She claimed the two continued their relationship despite the earlier conversation.
According to the married woman, her husband allegedly went beyond providing financial assistance to the actress personally and also supported different aspects of her career. She claimed he paid for or contributed to movie productions, trips, expensive bags and other aspects of Irewole’s lifestyle.
One of the incidents mentioned by Mary was a trip to South Africa in September 2024. She alleged that the actress travelled there with her husband, describing the trip as part of what had caused her concern about their relationship.
Mary also accused Irewole of continuing to reach out to her husband despite the tension surrounding their alleged relationship. She claimed the actress used different phone numbers to contact him and allegedly asked him for money.
In her post, Mary referred to the actress as a “home wrecker” while accusing her of interfering in her marriage.
The actress, however, is said to have given a different account of the situation. A screenshot shared by Mary showed a message attributed to Irewole in which she stated that she had ended her relationship with the man long ago but since the woman has already tarnish her reputation, she may have to continue from where she stopped.
The exchange presents two conflicting accounts of the relationship. While Mary maintains that the alleged affair continued for years and affected her marriage.
