Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has reflected on her previous collaboration with TikTok while expressing interest in securing more brand partnerships ahead of the cinema release of her forthcoming movie, Bestie.
The actress shared throwback photographs from her engagement with the popular video-sharing platform on Instagram on Friday, describing the experience as memorable.
Toyin Abraham's post comes shortly after fellow filmmaker Funke Akindele announced a promotional partnership with Facebook for her upcoming movie, The Four: No One Fights Alone.
Although both actresses are preparing for separate cinema releases in December, their recent announcements have drawn attention to the growing relationship between Nigeria's film industry and major social media platforms.
Speaking about her previous experience with TikTok, Toyin Abraham expressed excitement about the possibility of working with more brands as she prepares to introduce Bestie to cinema audiences.
She also used the opportunity to encourage her fans to anticipate the film, confirming that it would begin showing in cinemas nationwide on December 16, 2026. She further announced that advance ticket sales would commence on November 1.
Meanwhile, Funke Akindele recently revealed that Facebook would support the promotion of her upcoming production, The Four: No One Fights Alone.
The filmmaker explained that the collaboration would provide an opportunity to connect with a wider audience through exclusive promotional materials, behind-the-scenes content and updates surrounding the project.
Funke Akindele described the partnership as another important step in taking her storytelling beyond Nigeria, appreciating audiences whose support has contributed to her success over the years.
The Four: No One Fights Alone features an ensemble cast, including Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe Damijo, Timini Egbuson and Lateef Adedimeji, among others.
The movie is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 11, five days before Toyin Abraham's Bestie makes its theatrical debut.
The two announcements have highlighted how filmmakers are increasingly exploring collaborations with digital platforms to expand their promotional reach, attract audiences and create more visibility for Nigerian cinema.
