Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson says his demanding career has left him with little time for romance, revealing that he has not shared a bed with a woman in two years.
The actor, who is often associated with a ladies' man image, says the perception people have of him does not necessarily reflect how he spends his time. According to him, his daily routine revolves largely around filming, leaving little room for the kind of social life many might expect.
He said:
“People assume I'm a womanizer, but I haven't shared a bed with a woman in 2 years.
Nollywood has taken over my life. I'm on set all day, return home at 11pm and take a shot of Martell to calm down before sleeping. I'm not really on the streets.”
Timini's statement paints a picture of a work schedule that leaves him exhausted by the time he gets home. Rather than spending his evenings socialising or pursuing romantic interests, he says he often returns late and prepares for bed after a long day on set.
For an actor whose career keeps him in the public eye, the revelation offers a different perspective on his personal life. His on-screen roles and public image may lead people to make assumptions about his relationships, but he maintains that his everyday routine is largely centred on work.
The actor's comments also obviously reflects the demands of working in Nollywood, where filming schedules can take up much of an actor's day. Between long hours on set and the need to prepare for upcoming projects, maintaining a balance between work and personal relationships can be difficult.
Timini has built a name for himself in the Nigerian film industry, appearing in several productions that have helped establish him as a familiar face among movie audiences. However, his latest comments suggest that keeping his career moving forward comes with personal sacrifices, particularly when it comes to dating and spending time with potential partners.
While many may associate a busy entertainment career with an active social life, Timini's account suggests that his experience has been quite different. For him, the hours spent filming and the late nights at home have become a regular part of life.
His statement challenges the assumption that being labelled a womaniser means someone is constantly involved with women. As Timini explains, his work schedule has kept him occupied, leaving little time for the lifestyle people might associate with his public image.
